THEMES

We have a strong interest in projects or writing that have an edge, a passion and a message that will stimulate an audience. This includes poltically or socially aware works.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

WRITERS

Writers interested in submitting work should please send their CV, a description of what they want to work on (i.e., re-writes, workshops, performance) as well as their script in an email attachment (Microsoft Word Document or Adobe PDF) to

Writers that join with Cheeky Maggot Productions will be introduced to a suitable director and/or dramaturge. We then encourage an open and honest collaborative process that may include suggestions on possible re-writes and re-structuring, readings and/or workshops. We do not promise public performance for every piece of work- that is something assessed individually- but it is certainly something we strive for. Most pieces do have a public reading/workshop for an invited audience of industry professionals.

Please Note:

1. Due to the high number of submissions we receive, we are unable to provide script reports on any work not accepted.
2. We do not normally consider projects with a cast over 8, or of a musical or farcical nature
3. Ideally the work should not have been performed elsewhere- but if you would like to re-work what may or may not have worked in performance the first time round, we are happy to consider requests.
4. All scripts are to be sent electronically.

DIRECTORS

We are happy to receive CV's from directors at all levels of experience and training. All we ask is that you have a passion for new writing and the development process. All applicants are interviewed. Please send your details (Microsoft Word Document or Adobe PDF) to

ACTORS
